Director of Purchasing - Commercial Construction
About The Position
I’m currently partnering with a highly respected Dallas-based development firm that specializes in delivering upscale, master-planned communities with extraordinary commercial entertainment amenities This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned construction purchasing leader who understands both the technical side of buyouts and the artistry behind high-end development. The projects? Resort-style amenity centers, water features, family entertainment environments, hospitality-inspired interiors — typically in the $25M–$32M range. This role will oversee two estimators while guiding the design-to-bid-to-buyout process for the commercial entertainment component across multiple active developments. This is an in-house leadership position (not remote) . Business formal attire is standard — the culture reflects the product. The firm is intentional about being the epitome of what they build and pursue: upscale, luxury construction executed with discipline and refinement. If you’ve led procurement or buyouts on entertainment, hospitality, resort-style, or large-scale commercial developments, I would welcome a discreet conversation.
Requirements
- 10+ years in commercial or multifamily estimating and purchasing
- Strong experience in negotiations, contracts, and project buyouts
- Exposure to highly specialized interior finishes and unique amenity construction
- Leadership maturity and a collaborative mindset
- A passion for delivering excellence at scale
- experience and success managing a small team under you (2 Estimators)
