About The Position

Signia by Hilton Indianapolis is seeking an accomplished Director of Property Operations to join the team during the pre-opening phase of this exciting new addition to the Hilton portfolio. Rising in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and connected to the Indiana Convention Center, this 800-room state-of-the-art hotel will set a new standard for meetings and events in the city. With over 140,000 square feet of premier versatile meeting and event space, including an expansive ballroom and signature dining experiences, Signia Indianapolis will bring elevated hospitality to one of the Midwest’s most dynamic destinations. As the Director of Property Operations , you’ll play a vital leadership role in bringing this remarkable hotel to life — developing the systems, processes, and teams that will drive world-class performance from opening day forward. You’ll have the rare opportunity to help shape every aspect of a state-of-the-art property from the ground up, leading all facets of engineering, facilities management, and life safety while partnering closely with design, construction, and brand teams to ensure excellence at every stage — from pre-opening through a successful launch and beyond. As Director of Property Operations , you would be responsible for directing and overseeing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state and local regulations
  • Conduct facility inspections
  • Assign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system
  • Direct, oversee and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs
  • Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including, but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standard
  • Direct daily department operations including, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
