As the Director of Property Operations and Facilities at Hilton Vancouver, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the functionality and safety of the hotel facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to protect the wellbeing of all guests and team members while driving operational excellence and enhancing the guest experience. This position requires a passionate leader who is committed to delivering outstanding service and financial profitability. You will oversee various aspects of the property, including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems, and grounds, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you will conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure that all routine maintenance and repairs are documented and completed in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for managing energy conservation and preventive maintenance programs, as well as leading capital projects and property rehabilitations. This includes scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with contractor bidding standards. Obtaining necessary licenses and permits will also be part of your duties to maintain compliance with safety standards. Your leadership will extend to daily department operations, where you will set guest service standards, manage product quality, oversee inventory management, and control costs. You will actively participate in budgeting and forecasting while ensuring adherence to all relevant standards. Additionally, you will monitor and develop team member performance, providing supervision, professional development, and recognition. Recruitment, interviewing, and training of team members will also fall under your purview, making you a key player in building a strong operational team.
