About The Position

We keep pace with change in modern marketing and technology in order to create both effective, scalable and future-proof solutions for our clients that span both the Fortune 500 list and emerging industry leaders. We have also built strong relationships with the world's most influential martech platforms and are key partners to them and their clients. We're looking for a player-coach to lead our Project Management team of 5 to 10 PMs who orchestrate hyper-personalized email programs for our major financial services client. You'll split your time between hands-on project leadership and coaching a fast-paced, high-performing team that delivers data-driven results. This isn't a behind-the-scenes role. You'll be the trusted partner to both clients and internal teams - the person who sees dependencies before they become blockers, translates ambiguity into action, and pushes everyone toward revenue-driving goals. You'll also establish the discipline's best practices, optimize processes, and set strategic direction for how PM operates at SH/FT. You’ll report directly to our SVP of Delivery Operations with a strong dotted line to the SVP, Managing Director on the account.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of project management experience in fast-paced, agile environments (agency, consulting, or digital marketing).
  • 2+ years managing teams of 5 or more direct reports with proven people leadership skills.
  • Deep expertise in email marketing as a performance-driven channel, understanding lifecycle strategy, personalization, and how email drives revenue.
  • Hands-on experience with project portfolio management (PPM) tools and enterprise email service providers (ESPs).
  • Based in NYC and available for in-person collaboration with our NYC based client.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial services sector experience (banking, credit cards, investments).
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification.
  • Experience with Movable Ink (we can train on this).

Responsibilities

  • Own multiple concurrent projects involving cross-functional teams with complex scopes.
  • Create timelines, maintain project plans, and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers before they derail delivery.
  • Navigate between structure and speed, applying the right methodology for each engagement.
  • Monitor project health and profitability: track time, burn rates, and budget adherence.
  • Lead and develop your team: hold regular 1:1s, conduct performance reviews, and provide continuous coaching.
  • Build the PM discipline: establish standards and best practices, drive process improvements cross-departmentally.
  • Support hiring and strategic initiatives: recruit PM talent, lead special taskforces, and provide high-caliber problem-solving across the business.
