About The Position
Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Director of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a permanent leadership opportunity in Fort Worth, Texas. Under the supervision of the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Progressive Care provides shared 24-hour accountability and operational leadership for the Progressive Care Unit. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care while supporting the hospital’s mission, goals, and nursing practice standards. The Director functions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and leads clinical operations, staffing, quality outcomes, and departmental performance. This position requires strong leadership presence, acute care PCU expertise, and the ability to partner with executive leadership to drive patient safety, clinical excellence, and operational success.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas OR multistate compact license with Texas as primary state of residence.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Progressive Care Unit (PCU) leadership experience REQUIRED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification REQUIRED.
- Proven leadership experience managing acute care nursing operations and teams.
