About The Position
Join our team of studio professionals as a Director of Production at The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), where we produce and deliver network-quality programming. This individual will empower and lead the CBN News Washington Bureau's video production efforts across all platforms — broadcast, digital, streaming, and podcasting — while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. This role is designed for a creative problem-solver who is ready to grow into broader leadership, support the next generation of talent, and help shape the future of our multimedia storytelling. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. The salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000.
Requirements
- 5+ years of video production experience or M.A. in related field.
- Strong strategic thinking and resource planning skills.
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead video production efforts for CBN News Washington Bureau across broadcast, digital, streaming, and podcast platforms.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Support the next generation of talent and help shape the future of multimedia storytelling.
- Shoot and edit broadcast-quality news content for multiple platforms.
- Mentor and coach videographer-editor team for professional growth and creative excellence.
- Oversee control room and studio operations for live and taped productions.
- Collaborate on digital, streaming, and podcast initiatives.
- Coordinate workflows and best practices across departments.
- Provide technical oversight for camera, lighting, audio, and editing equipment upgrades.
- Participate in technical planning, location scouting, and post-production collaboration.
- Travel for field assignments and remote productions; set up lighting, audio, and live uplinks.
- Assist Bureau Chief with team development, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Contribute to special multimedia projects across CBN departments.
- Champion a growth mindset, encouraging experimentation and innovation.
- Stay current with industry trends through seminars and workshops.
- Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission.
