About The Position

Apple Roofing is hiring a Director of Production Operations to lead and optimize our Centralized Production Hub—the engine that powers job readiness, scheduling, and completion across all markets. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily movement of jobs from sale to build to closeout, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality, and throughput. The ideal candidate is a master of operational logistics, team coordination, and systems thinking—someone who thrives on building scalable workflows and proactively removing bottlenecks. Roofing or construction industry experience is a plus, but a track record of running high-output, high-quality operations is essential. This person will balance the capacity of our scheduling coordinators like a gas pedal—maximizing the number of jobs we’re building at any given time without sacrificing customer experience or field execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in operations, logistics, scheduling, or production coordination
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex workflows at scale
  • Proven track record of implementing processes and systems to scale
  • Deep understanding of how to balance people, process, and systems
  • Strong command of technology (e.g., Acculynx, CRMs, project management tools)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the roofing, construction, or field services industries
  • Familiarity with permitting, subcontractor management, and field support
  • Background managing multi-state or multi-location operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale Apple Roofing’s Central Production Hub, including Scheduling Coordinators and Production Admin
  • Build and enforce SOPs that improve speed, consistency, and quality across job workflows.
  • Ensure regional alignment while centralizing back-end processes to reduce redundancy.
  • Oversee the job lifecycle from contract to closeout, including scheduling, materials, permitting, invoicing, and subcontractor support.
  • Balance job flow across regions—matching coordinator and crew capacity to maximize daily output.
  • Own KPIs such as job cycle time, build backlog, sub pay timeliness, and job readiness accuracy.
  • Manage and develop a team of high-performing operations professionals.
  • Create accountability, transparency, and a culture of efficiency + excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the hub is supporting the field.
  • Report to senior leadership on performance
  • Analyze workflow bottlenecks and implement system-level improvements.
  • Leverage tools (e.g., Acculynx, CompanyCam) to enforce clean, repeatable processes.
  • Maintain a relentless focus on doing things faster, cleaner, and better.
