About The Position

Certara accelerates medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology, and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Its clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across 62 countries. We’re seeking a visionary and data-savvy Director of Product Strategy to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives across our real-world evidence and clinical outcomes data platform offerings. In this pivotal role, you’ll guide the product direction for solutions that support clinical, regulatory, and commercial decision-making across the life sciences ecosystem. You’ll partner with leaders across product, data science, regulatory affairs, evidence generation, and market access teams to shape high-impact solutions that translate clinical outcomes and real-world data into meaningful insights. This is a leadership opportunity for someone passionate about improving drug development through data and modeling—balancing strategic acumen with cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related field (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in life sciences strategy, evidence generation, or product leadership
• Deep knowledge of RWD/RWE, regulatory applications, and/or clinical development pathways
• Proven success navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving product-market fit
• Experience with health data infrastructure, privacy frameworks, and international data standards; experience with common data model development, a plus
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence senior decision-makers

Responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy for RWE and data-centric solutions, aligned with stakeholders, market needs, and regulatory trends
• Translate stakeholder requirements—across pharma, biotech, regulators, and payers—into actionable product opportunities
• Conduct competitive landscape analysis and market scanning for database offerings, including EMR, claims, registries, and genomics
• Build strategic roadmaps that prioritize high-impact capabilities across therapeutic areas, use cases, and geographies
• Lead cross-functional planning to support go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and partnerships
• Drive engagement with key external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, thought leaders, and customers
• Monitor performance metrics and evolve product strategy based on feedback and outcomes
