About the team and the role: We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead AI-driven innovation across eBay’s Shipping ecosystem, with primary ownership of Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD) and Shipping Cost Management (SCM). This leader will define the strategy and roadmap for how AI transforms delivery speed, cost accuracy, and buyer trust at global scale. The role will lead a team of product managers and partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Search, and Operations to deliver next-generation capabilities powered by deep learning and advanced predictive models. The impact spans the full marketplace — improving buyer conversion, seller economics, and eBay’s competitive differentiation in shipping.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, including strong experience leading AI/ML-powered products at scale.
  • Consistent track record solving complex machine learning problems in high-scale consumer or marketplace environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with deep proficiency in experimentation frameworks, model performance metrics, and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience partnering deeply with engineering and data science teams on model development and productionization.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and collaborator management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in shipping, logistics, marketplace platforms, or e-commerce is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Define and execute the product strategy for AI-driven shipping experiences Position shipping intelligence as a core growth lever for conversion, GMV, and marketplace trust. Drive adoption of deep learning and advanced AI approaches to improve prediction accuracy and adaptability.
  • Product Leadership Lead and develop a team of product managers across your portfolio Establish clear product direction, success metrics, and execution discipline. Build strong cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Data Science, Design, and cross domain organizations
  • AI-Driven Innovation Partner with Data Science and Engineering to deliver scalable models that improve delivery promise accuracy, cost prediction, and optimization. Translate complex AI capabilities into impactful customer experiences for buyers and sellers. Drive experimentation and measurement frameworks to validate business impact.
  • Cross-Platform Impact Collaborate with Search and Buyer Experience teams to integrate delivery intelligence into search ranking and buyer discovery. Support shipping programs such cross-border trade, and marketplace initiatives through strong shipping foundations.
