About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Product Management, Platform to lead our platform product portfolio and manage a team of product managers focused on the core capabilities that make NodeZero enterprise-ready, extensible, and reliable at scale. You will work closely with the Vice President of Product and senior engineering leadership to define and execute the platform strategy that underpins every experience in our product. In this role, you will serve as a player/coach: you will directly manage a team of product managers responsible for enterprise experience, integrations/APIs/MCP server and agentic workflows, performance and reliability, and MSP/MSSP functionality—while also owning a hands-on product area yourself, with particular emphasis on platform performance, reliability, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring our platform is scalable, observable, secure, and easy to integrate with the broader security and IT ecosystem. You will define and drive the platform capabilities that enable feature teams, partners, and customers to build, automate, and operate on top of NodeZero with confidence. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can move fluidly between strategic thinking and tactical execution, and is comfortable making decisions that impact multiple product lines. You will partner cross-functionally with Engineering, SRE, Customer Success, Marketing, Support, Sales, and other Product leaders to deliver platform functionality that improves system stability, accelerates development, and unlocks enterprise and partner growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS, with significant time spent on platform, infrastructure, or deeply technical products
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing product managers, with a demonstrated ability to act as a player/coach
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and multi-tenant platforms
  • Proven experience owning or materially influencing reliability and performance domains, including SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and incident management practices
  • Experience building enterprise capabilities such as identity and access management, administration workflows, governance, and compliance-enabling features
  • Strong background in API platforms, integrations, and/or developer experience; comfortable working with RESTful APIs, authentication standards, and integration ecosystems
  • Familiarity with MSP/MSSP operating models, including multi-tenant management, delegated administration, and service-provider-centric workflows (experience in this space is a strong plus)
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills; able to partner effectively with Engineering, SRE, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Customer Success, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Data-driven decision making, with experience defining product and operational metrics and using insights to guide prioritization and iteration
  • Clear, confident communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable narratives for executives, customers, and internal teams
  • Comfort operating in Agile environments, managing backlogs, making trade-offs, and shipping iteratively in collaboration with distributed teams

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MSP/MSSP operating models, including multi-tenant management, delegated administration, and service-provider-centric workflows (experience in this space is a strong plus)
  • An advanced degree in engineering or business is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Platform Product Strategy and Vision: Own the end-to-end product strategy for the NodeZero platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, extensibility, and enterprise readiness. Ensure platform investments are tightly aligned with company objectives, revenue goals, and customer outcomes.
  • People Leadership and Team Development: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of platform-focused product managers across enterprise experience, integrations/APIs/MCP server, performance and reliability, and MSP/MSSP capabilities. Provide clear direction, coaching, and career development while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high standards.
  • Player/Coach Ownership of Performance and Reliability: Directly own the product roadmap for platform performance, reliability, and operational excellence. Define SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets; partner with Engineering and SRE to improve availability, latency, and overall system health; lead prioritization of reliability work alongside feature delivery. Be hands-on in discovery, requirements, and trade-off decisions for this domain.
  • Enterprise Experience and Governance: Oversee the platform capabilities that enable enterprise customers to securely adopt and scale NodeZero, including RBAC, SSO/SCIM, entitlements and licensing, auditability, administrative workflows, multi-tenancy, and governance controls. Ensure these capabilities are consistent, intuitive, and aligned with compliance and security expectations.
  • Integrations, APIs, and MCP Server: Guide the roadmap for our developer and integration platform, including public and internal APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and our MCP server and agentic workflow capabilities. Ensure our platform is easy to integrate, secure by design, and supports both human-driven and autonomous workflows across key ecosystems (for example ticketing, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, identity providers).
  • MSP/MSSP Platform Capabilities: Own the end-to-end platform needs of MSPs and MSSPs in partnership with your team, ensuring that multi-tenancy, delegated administration, billing enablement, reporting, compliance, and SOC workflows are robust, scalable, and differentiated for service provider use cases.
  • Roadmap and Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a transparent, outcome-driven roadmap across your portfolio. Balance short-term reliability and technical investments with long-term strategic bets and customer-facing value. Make data-informed trade-offs and communicate priorities clearly to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment and Delivery: Partner closely with Engineering, SRE, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Customer Success to define requirements, plan releases, and drive execution. Ensure platform changes are well-documented, operationally ready, and effectively enabled across internal and external audiences.
  • Metrics, Insights, and Experimentation: Define and track success metrics across platform reliability, performance, integration adoption, enterprise feature utilization, and MSP/MSSP outcomes. Use analytics, customer feedback, and field insights to continuously refine priorities and validate impact.
  • Voice of Customers and Partners: Engage directly with strategic customers, MSP/MSSP partners, and internal field teams to understand needs, validate designs, and gather structured feedback. Represent platform priorities and trade-offs clearly to executives and customer stakeholders.
