About The Position

Our client is a well-established national insurance carrier known for its innovative products, financial stability, and customer-first approach. They are seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the design, enhancement, and execution of new and existing insurance products that drive growth and profitability across multiple lines of business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in insurance product management or product development (P&C preferred).
Strong understanding of product design, pricing, underwriting, and regulatory processes.
Proven success developing and launching insurance products in a carrier environment.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives.

Nice To Haves

MBA or advanced degree preferred.
P&C experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic development and management of insurance products across assigned lines of business.
Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements.
Partner with underwriting and actuarial teams on pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and risk assessment.
Ensure product filings meet regulatory and compliance requirements in all jurisdictions.
Oversee the product development roadmap and manage projects from concept to rollout.
Monitor product performance, analyzing trends to optimize pricing, coverage, and profitability.
Collaborate with marketing and distribution teams to support sales growth and product adoption.
Manage and mentor a team of product analysts and managers to support development initiatives.
