About The Position

Healthie is hiring an exceptional Director of Product Design to lead the evolution of our product design team and elevate the experience of our end-to-end platform. This is a full-time role based in New York City with a hybrid in-office schedule. As Director of Product Design, you’ll play a mission-critical role in shaping how healthcare providers and patients interact with modern digital health tools. You’ll serve as both a design leader and hands-on contributor—coaching a growing team of product designers, owning key strategic initiatives, and rolling up your sleeves to produce intuitive, elegant design solutions. You’ll champion a design-led culture across the organization, embedding design best practices into our product development process, and ensuring we deliver scalable, accessible, and user-centric experiences. In close partnership with Engineering, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, you’ll influence Healthie’s product direction while maintaining and evolving our design systems. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to our CTO—ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution, and who’s excited to build best-in-class digital experiences that transform how care is delivered.

Requirements

Have 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3+ years in a design leadership role at a high-growth SaaS or healthtech company.
Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
Bring deep expertise in user-centered design, UX/UI best practices, and design systems.
Are passionate about coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing design teams.
Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Care deeply about impact—and are energized by the opportunity to help modernize healthcare through thoughtful, human-centered design.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the product design vision, strategy, and execution across Healthie’s platform.
Serve as a player-coach: balancing strategic leadership with hands-on design execution.
Lead and grow a team of talented product designers, fostering personal and professional growth.
Implement and refine a modern design process that incorporates discovery, iteration, and delivery.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to define and prioritize initiatives.
Maintain and evolve Healthie’s design systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with engineering best practices.
Build a culture of design excellence, visual quality, and user-first thinking across the organization.
