Director of Procurement

About the position

The Director of Procurement at USPI manages supply chain operations for a regional market, focusing on cost-saving initiatives, contract compliance, and financial optimization. This role reports to the USPI Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations and the Market Chief Financial Officer. Directors of Procurement at USPI oversee between 50 to 100 healthcare facilities, including Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and Surgical Hospitals. The position requires up to 50% travel and can be based in the market (Northeast / Mid-Atlantic) or in Dallas, TX (Tenet Healthcare headquarters).

Responsibilities

• Drive supply expense reduction efforts
• Implement operational best practices
• Analyze data and monitor key metrics
• Ensure effective MMIS system performance at the facility level
• Provide strategic guidance to facility Materials Managers
• Collaborate with market leadership and operators to enhance financial programs
