About The Position
The Director of Procurement will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management for a four-person procurement team and will lead the development of sourcing strategies and business processes that enhance vendor performance and cost effectiveness for the organization. This role will bring insight and leadership to improve speed to contract execution and implement best practices in procurement and supplier management to support commercial and operational objectives. This role will utilize technology and talent capabilities to drive continual improvement in procurement processes and controls. This role requires extensive experience in contract negotiations with clients and vendors, ensuring agreements align with the company’s strategic and compliance standards. This role will maintain strong internal and external relationships and negotiate complex agreements and develop a formal centralized, vendor management programs, short and long-term savings plans, and develop category management that will add value and efficiency. This position will be hybrid in office three days per week in Gaithersburg, MD and may require occasional travel (<10%).
