About The Position

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's procurement operations, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier quality, and timely delivery of goods and services. This role interfaces with all functions and levels of the organization and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The position can be based in either Haverhill, MA or Dallas, NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement and supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence and cost savings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional communicator with all levels of the organization.
  • High ethical standards and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and task-oriented.
  • Advanced computer user skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Direct day-to-day purchasing operations, including purchase orders, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to prevent overstock or shortages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Quality teams to ensure compliance of purchased materials, suppliers, and services.
  • Conduct spend analysis, analyze supply markets, identify sourcing levers, execute competitive RFPs, and lead supplier negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business functional heads to understand and support their vendor needs.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure the best outcomes for the company and maximize leverage control.
  • Develop, direct, and manage overall cost reduction targets and oversee execution of initiatives.
  • Support ad hoc analytical projects as assigned.
