Director of Private Grants

Requirements
- An exceptional writer (no shortcuts, no fluff)
- Highly organized and deadline-driven
- Both strategic and execution-focused
- A relationship-builder, not just a proposal submitter
- Self-directed, accountable, and willing to work hard
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of successful grant writing/fundraising experience
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new foundation funding opportunities
- Write compelling, high-performing proposals
- Own the full grants lifecycle: research, writing, submission, reporting, renewal
- Build and steward strong relationships with foundations
- Manage deadlines, data, and details with precision
- Partner with staff outside of the philanthropy team in order to align funding with impact
