About The Position

As the Director of Primary Care Services at HIA Health, you will manage day-to-day operations of our primary & palliative programs, as well as the primary care clinic. This position is responsible for strategic leadership, vision, and management of the identified programs to improve outcomes, drive growth and profitability of the programs. Working in conjunction with leaders and managers to assist in strategic planning, administrative coordinate, program development, and implementation for all programs directed and delivered by HIA Primary Care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience managing all aspects of a medical office or practice to include at least two years of supervisor experience.
  • Experience in home-based primary care and/or clinic-based primary care with a proven ability to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, computer skills and knowledge of office software packages
  • Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of business and management principles

Responsibilities

  • Leads development and implementation of strategic initiatives for HIA Primary Care programs both in-home primary care and clinic-based primary care.
  • Directs quality and consistency of patient care for each discipline.
  • Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.
  • In collaboration with the Medical Director, directs standards of practice including maintaining clinical policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Responsible for effective communication of regulatory and practice changes.
  • Directs effective use of technology for accurate and secure medical records.
  • Responsible for timely and thorough completion of all employee evaluations and supporting documentation.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling employees’ work hours and job assignments; following up on work results, ensure KPI compliance and holding staff accountable for attaining the results.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Achieves financial objectives by ensuring the schedule is maintained and supplies ordered are only what is necessary to achieve optimal patient care and to ensure staff/providers have what is necessary to succeed in their individual roles.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting the team to accomplish practice KPI’s via coaching, workflows, by assisting the team to complete projects as needed and by filling in for team member PTO.
  • Follows company policies to ensure consistent and compliant job performance.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
