About The Position

The Director of Power Resources at Northern Wasco County PUD is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of the District's generating facilities. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational efficiency, and fostering relationships with third-party power suppliers and industrial customers. The Director will also be a key member of the executive management team, influencing organizational decisions and promoting a culture of engagement, customer satisfaction, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, business administration, finance, accounting, statistics, public administration, or related field required.
• Ten (10) years of experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer License (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations and maintenance of generating facilities.
• Perform complex power analysis for budget and rate development.
• Negotiate and facilitate contracts for electricity and transmission.
• Develop relationships with third-party power suppliers and industrial customers.
• Manage power delivery operations with a focus on customer service.
• Administer division budget for effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
• Prepare energy billing and settlement arrangements with suppliers.
• Provide leadership and coaching to staff, managing performance and development.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
