Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in provision of maintenance, environmental services, and related services in a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO/OSHA regulations and standards required.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree related to building construction and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the facility management, cleanliness, inclusive of administrative and technical operations.
  • Ensure that efficient and effective services are provided while enhancing attainment of individual personnel and hospital objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the maintenance of the facility and grounds, the provision of utilities, the restoration and renovation of the facility and new construction.
  • Plan, direct, and supervise all administrative and technical aspects of the department.
  • Develop, review, and manage the activities of self and other personnel in the department.
  • Actively participate in all hospital committees which impact this department, with specific responsibility on the Safety and Infection Control Committees.
  • Establish and maintain a Quality Control Program.
  • Maintain an Environment of Care and OSHA standards in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
