About The Position

The Director of Regional Planning & Analysis is a strategic partner to property and corporate leadership, providing insight and recommendations into our businesses and the markets in which they operate. The Director of Regional P&A is a trusted advisor, using data to drive new ideas, improvements, and recognize opportunities for our three properties in Central Pennsylvania: Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, Hollywood Casino Morgantown and Hollywood Casino York.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, or related field; or at least five years planning & analysis experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Gaming experience highly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of accounting and financial analysis.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Comprehensive financial modeling experience.
  • Ability to travel between assigned properties as needed.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations based upon trends.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
  • Advanced experience in Excel, COGNOS, and SQL.
  • Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to drive results and be proactive when working on tasks.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall operations and staff of the Planning & Analysis department.
  • Teach and develop P&A talent across assigned properties.
  • Partner with regional, property, and corporate leadership to provide insight and recommendations into how to improve our businesses.
  • Develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Partner with property, corporate marketing, and Marketing Communication Centers to develop comprehensive reviews of market opportunities and understanding of marketing programming results.
  • Encourage learnings across property departments, different markets, different platforms, and regions.
  • Promote cross-property strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute key operating metrics to evaluate attainment of company’s operating, service, and financial objectives.
  • Prepare, monitor, and adhere to budgets and ensure compliance to departmental budget initiatives.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity for the business and industry.
  • Support and promote superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
