Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in health care, accounting, business or closely related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the field of healthcare, physician compensation, or finance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Critical thinking skills including professional skepticism and problem resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree with an emphasis in health care, accounting, business or closely related field.
  • Experience in fair market valuations and/or contract management

Responsibilities

  • Leads and supports the oversight, administration, and compliance of the financial terms for physician contracts.
  • Monitors physician group collection activities by creating and maintaining accounts receivable dashboards with Key Performance Indicators.
  • Works with Executive Leadership and Directors to identify cost savings opportunities for physician contract expense.
  • Conducts quarterly or annual meetings with physician groups to review financial performance, staffing, billing, collections, and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer by serving as a physician contract liaison with legal to facilitate renewals and contracts.
  • Collaborates with Finance and physician group administrators to develop annual pro forma budgets.
  • Supports the creation of annual physician fee budgets and monitors budgets on a monthly basis to identify large variances.
  • Works with Decision Support to monitor performance reports related to physician groups and related service lines.
  • Develops and leads Kaweah’s physician contracting team to ensure all departments are represented in the contract process.
  • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in management of the Fair Market Value process including data preparation and analysis for physician contracts.
  • Works with the organization’s leadership to review policies and procedures related to physician contracting and makes recommendations for additions, revisions, and deletions.
  • Directs and supervises the Compliance Analyst(s), including performance evaluations, training and orientation, mentoring, and oversight of project assignments and workload.
  • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer with the daily operations of the Compliance Department.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
