About The Position

At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, we don't just talk about changing the world - we do it, one Girl Scout troop at a time. We are seeking a bold, relationship-driven Director of Philanthropy (Director of Development & Philanthropy) to ignite philanthropy and expand our impact across the Treasure Coast (Martin, Saint Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties). This is a chance to be the face of Girl Scouts in the community - cultivating donors, forging corporate partnerships, and championing the resources that empower girls to lead with courage, confidence, and character. As our Director of Philanthropy , you will manage an annual portfolio of at least 100 prospects and donors. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, and collaborating closely with the Director of Advancement, you will actively cultivate and secure gifts in the $5,000–$20,000 range and will lead efforts to expand our sponsorship base across the Treasure Coast. Through presentations, events, and face-to-face meetings, you'll bring the Girl Scout mission to life for donors and partners, positioning us as the nonprofit of choice for investment. The Director of Philanthropy will also play a pivotal role in advancing our capital priorities, including the restoration and reimagining of Camp Welaka in Martin County. This beloved Girl Scout property is at the heart of our vision to expand outdoor leadership opportunities for girls, and significant philanthropic investment will be needed to bring that vision to life. You will help inspire donors to see themselves as part of a lasting legacy-one that not only transforms a camp but also creates a powerful space where future generations of Girl Scouts will grow, lead, and thrive. The Director of Philanthropy will research funding opportunities, track donor engagement in our database, and produce timely reports on progress toward financial goals. You'll collaborate on sponsorship decks, help develop fundraising strategies, and ensure all work is done with the highest ethical and professional standards.
