Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking to fill a full-time Director of Philanthropy position. The Director of Philanthropy is the primary contact for donor engagement, resource development, and grant process management to fulfill the mission of the Westminster Communities Foundation (WCF). The Director works within and supports a Westminster community as assigned by the Vice President of Philanthropy or designated representative. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develop an extensive knowledge of Westminster Communities of Florida (WCOF) and its mission. Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to fulfill strategic fundraising priorities. Fundraising efforts involve engaging the full cycle of prospect development, and includes donor solicitation of cash giving, as well as future gifts by promoting Charitable Gift Annuities, Wills and Bequests. Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the Administrator/s of assigned communities. At a minimum, meet quarterly with the Administrators to review activities at their respective community. Maintain a high profile and professional reputation with residents in the communities through workshops, seminars, presentations, social gatherings, and face-to-face meetings. Include Vice President of Philanthropy on these meetings on a regular basis and as needed. Host constituent engagement activities, and donor stewardship events when necessary and/or appropriate. Keep informed of tax law changes, charitable giving and other refinements in this highly technical field through attendance to appropriate training conferences and events; must continue with professional development in the area of charitable giving.
