CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a partnership between CoxHealth and Select Medical, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy for its 63-bed medical rehabilitation hospital located in Ozark, Missouri. Our facility serves patients in Southwest Missouri and is led by a team of professionals including rehabilitation nurses, therapists, dietitians, and case managers. We are committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals facing various medical challenges, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic issues. The Director of Pharmacy will play a crucial role in ensuring the provision of pharmaceutical services throughout the hospital, maintaining liaisons with outside groups, and overseeing the pharmacy department's operations.

  • Ensure the provision of pharmaceutical services, including clinical pharmacy services, throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain liaisons with outside groups or agencies as needed.
  • Provide training, information, and support to direct reports to accomplish departmental objectives.
  • Deliver regular and accurate performance feedback to direct reports focusing on results and skill expansion.
  • Ensure success of department operations through employee engagement and continual learning.
  • Initiate, schedule, direct, and control the daily operation of the Pharmacy Department.
  • Review and evaluate operating procedures and implement changes to improve service quality and productivity.
  • Perform all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.
  • Develop and implement departmental objectives in accordance with established standards.
  • Make budget recommendations for capital equipment and operational expenses.
  • Serve on committees as outlined in the Hospital's Administrative Policies and Procedures.
  • Communicate hospital policies and procedures concerning pharmacy services to hospital employees.
  • Maintain a system for identifying signatures for all authorized prescribers.
  • Current state licensure as a pharmacist required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of hospital experience within the last 5 years required.
  • Demonstrate ability to efficiently operate a pharmacy within a healthcare organization required.
  • One (1) year in a managerial role preferred.
