About The Position

Our Director of Pharmacy is retiring, creating a great opportunity for the right pharmacist to join our team! The Director of Pharmacy will be organized and self-managed, as they will run the pharmacy alone. This position reports directly to the CEO. The schedule is a Monday – Friday work week, with NO CALL and NO WEEKENDS! There are NO THIRD-PARTY PAYORS required to work with. The Director of Pharmacy will maintain excellent working relationships with physician, nursing, and clinical services.

Requirements

3 yrs experience in a dispensing environment
NV license in good standing
Comfortable working alone (no technician)
An interest in behavioral health
Nice person with great interpersonal skills and professionalism
Able to work with physicians, nurses, and other appropriate staff to deliver excellent Pharmacy services to our residents
Sound knowledge of NV and Federal Pharmacy Law, and Joint Commission standards
Ability to compile data to issue weekly and monthly reports
Ability to understand and work within a pharmacy budget

Nice To Haves

Experience with reviewing, writing, and upholding policies
Experience with a Board of Pharmacy inspection and/or Joint Commission review
Experience with a Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee
Experience with HCS or other EMRs
Board certification (BCACP, BCPS, BCPP)

Responsibilities

Run the pharmacy alone
Maintain excellent working relationships with physician, nursing, and clinical services
Compile data to issue weekly and monthly reports
Understand and work within a pharmacy budget
