Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Pharm D. in pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Ohio

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other clinicians
• Independent and motivated worker with a results-oriented approach
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in business administration or healthcare administration
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting
• At least 5 years' experience in a hospital pharmacy administration or management role

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for all pharmacy functions and associates.
• Functions as the pharmacy expert for committees, projects, contracts, and processes.
• Initiates, implements, and oversees pharmacy cost savings initiatives.
• Develops and manages the departmental budget for fiscal responsibility.
• Promotes departmental quality and productivity using LEAN methodologies and performance improvement initiatives.
• Involved in quality initiatives ensuring compliance with legal entities like the Joint Commission and the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Understands pharmacy inventory and purchasing functions to improve financial success.
• Establishes medication safety best practices to reduce errors and improve patient care.
• Provides coaching and mentoring for departmental leadership associates.
• Uses technology to automate pharmacy functions and maintain industry best practices.
