About The Position

As the Director of Pharmacy Revenue Cycle, you will oversee the strategic and operational functions of our Pharmacy Billing Department. This includes full ownership of billing processes, pricing administration, auditing procedures, and financial reporting. You'll lead a high-performing team—Billing Manager, A/R Revenue Cycle Manager, and Quality Assurance Specialist—and serve as a key liaison with internal and external audit entities. Your leadership will help ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance across the pharmacy revenue cycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, preferably within healthcare or pharmacy services
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role managing direct reports
  • Strong experience in collections, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with complex formulas, data manipulation, and multi-criteria analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with remote teams and using digital collaboration tools

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or long-term care pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with third-party pricing tools and pharmacy dispensing systems
  • Experience managing internal audits or working closely with auditors

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Cycle Oversight: Lead all billing functions, including month-end close, invoicing, credit processing, and reconciliation of variances.
  • Audit Leadership: Serve as primary liaison for internal and external audits. Coordinate audit responses, documentation, and collaborate with accounting on audit findings and reserves.
  • Pricing & Plan Administration: Manage pricing data input across pharmacy systems, oversee QA processes, and maintain third-party pricing software relationships.
  • Policy & Performance: Maintain and develop department policies, track and communicate KPI metrics, and provide revenue cycle reporting to senior leadership.
  • Cash Application Oversight: Oversee all cash batch setup and processing, and coordinate with accounting and treasury for accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership & Compliance: Guide and develop your team, uphold internal controls, and ensure alignment with all regulatory and company compliance standards.
