Job Summary This position is responsible for providing operational leadership for the Medication Therapy Management program within HCSC's integrated Enterprise Pharmacy. The Senior Director will support HCSC's Medical and Pharmacy Benefit Integration, MTM, PBM, and pharmacy product initiatives. Primary focus on providing strategies that increase efficiency, improve outcomes and help manage drug spend.

  • Overseeing the annual budget and allocating resources for various projects and operational needs.
  • Translating needs and initiatives into compelling business cases.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify investments and ensure ROI.
  • Pharm D
  • Pharmacist in the state of operations.
  • At least 4 years experience in managed care pharmaceuticals.
  • At least 4 years of managerial experience in the Pharmacy environment.
  • Ability and experience managing a budget to appropriately establish targets.
  • Ability to lead a diverse staff.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently or with a team to achieve successful results.
  • Ability to be effective in a position requiring a high degree of self-direction, initiative, sound decision-making and effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and cross-train staff through presentations, training, knowledge-sharing, goal setting, evaluation, and positive reinforcement.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with group health insurance customer contact.
  • Additional degrees or credentials outside the pharmacy area (such as an MBA).
