About The Position

This position is responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing for all OKDHS employees. The incumbent will perform expert-level work involving complex payroll reviews and audits of documents, work processes, and submitted payroll documents prior to completing payroll; ensures compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and other applicable OKDHS policies and procedures; reviews and/or maintains policy, procedures and best practices for the activities and services of the Payroll Unit. This position is also the garnishment administrator and responsible for issuing payments to creditors and voluntary deduction companies. This position will also be responsible for supervising three payroll staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a closely related field.
  • Six years of professional experience in human resources management.
  • Three years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
