About The Position

The role of Director of Outside Plant Engineering will be to provide oversight to the design, build, and
construction of the company’s Outside Plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure. The Director will work collaboratively with
our OSP and Installation team members to design, engineer, and inspect new, existing, and ongoing field
projects. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that all OSP quality requirements, maintenance, and
timelines are met during all projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years OSP engineering experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• 7+ years telecom experience preferred
• Works well under pressure
• Dependable and flexible

Responsibilities

• Establish engineering guidelines and processes to be managed and followed throughout OSP
• Build and enhance a strong team that provides high-quality engineered projects
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of engineered projects
• Develop and monitor proper status tracking, reporting, and internal controls
• Monitor broadband industry trends
• Remain current on fiber/network construction best practices
• Manage and coach employees
• Coordinate with Customer Support and Sales
• Determine construction methods (aerial, underground, conduit)
• Prepare engineering drawings, permits, and as-builts
• Oversee easements and ROW
• Produce monthly status reports
• Communicate with utilities and government entities
• Assume additional responsibilities as necessary
