The Director of Outreach plays a vital leadership role in coordinating community partnerships, driving outreach strategy, and ensuring seamless service connection for individuals impacted by addiction and behavioral health challenges. You’ll serve as a connector, a communicator, and an advocate by building strong relationships across communities to support the success of VOAOK’s RCORP grant initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in community outreach, behavioral health, or engagement roles.
  • Strong public speaking skills for audiences of all sizes.
  • Experience supporting individuals with addiction or mental health needs.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, detail oriented, and strategic in approach.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organize, and engage consortium and county council partners to align service delivery with RCORP project goals.
  • Develop and execute a county wide outreach plan that effectively reaches the target population.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of meetings and site visits with consortium members and community partners.
  • Provide consistent communications, updates, and collaborative guidance to all outreach stakeholders.
  • Supervise and coordinate service delivery efforts across VOAOK programs and external partners.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with community leaders, service providers, and local organizations.
  • Establish a referral system that connects community outreach efforts to inpatient or outpatient treatment options.
  • Track, document, and report outreach activities, outcomes, and service coordination data.
  • Oversee administration and reporting related to the Family Support Fund.
  • Maintain all required ODMHSAS certifications.
