About The Position

The Director of Operations position at New Life Centers of Chicagoland is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week. This exempt position is eligible for benefits and reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). The primary responsibility of the Director of Operations is to oversee the daily operations of the organization, ensuring that all locations operate efficiently and effectively. This role involves supporting a team of Directors who implement daily operations across various NLC locations. The Director will play a crucial role in fostering a highly inclusive culture that allows team members to thrive while meeting organizational goals. In this position, the Director of Operations will maintain and direct the daily operations of New Life Centers, coordinating with various departments such as human resources, legal, marketing, warehouse, accounting, and IT. The role requires local travel to different sites based on program and team needs, with travel expenses being reimbursable. The Director will communicate goals, objectives, and new information clearly to the team, providing technical support as needed. Additionally, the Director will ensure departmental alignment with strategic goals, compliance, and grant requirements, while analyzing internal operations to identify areas for process enhancement. The Director will also create and lead training initiatives for staff development in collaboration with the COO and Executive team. This position involves working closely with the Director of Data and Program Evaluation and the Grants Manager to ensure that deliverables are met as outlined in executed contracts. The Director will stay informed about compliance requirements for specific departments and participate in reporting as requested. Leadership will be approached from a coaching and modeling perspective, and the Director will work with the Finance Department to communicate budget needs and changes. Regular follow-ups with departments will be necessary to meet goals, and the Director will utilize data and metrics to identify needs for improvement. The role also includes assisting in the annual budget process and strategic planning, approving credit card reports and timecards, and maintaining accurate documentation of budget and spending plans.
