About The Position

The position involves overseeing the management of personnel and activities for assigned departments, providing strategic direction, and developing, implementing, and monitoring the goals, objectives, priorities, and procedures relating to the organizational unit. The role includes budget development and administration, ensuring product quality standards, monitoring operating costs, and advising plant managers on labor issues. Compliance with company policies and HSE procedures is essential, along with performing other work-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years in operations leadership roles, with demonstrated impact on efficiency and cost reduction
  • Experience handling large teams and complex, multi-departmental operations
  • Background in budget oversight, trend analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Strong track record in supplier management and contingency planning
  • Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and urgent requests
  • Ability to navigate executive-level disagreements with diplomacy and strategic insight
  • Proficient in identifying waste and operational inefficiencies using analytical tools
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations to meet increased business demand

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of personnel and activities for assigned departments
  • Provide strategic direction and develop, implement and monitor the goals, objectives, priorities and procedures relating to the organizational unit
  • Develop and administer the budget
  • Ensure standards for product quality
  • Develop, monitor and report on operating costs within functional areas
  • Ensure orders are serviced/manufacturing according to specifications and quality standards are met
  • Advise plant managers of labor issues
  • Ensure plant managers are adhering to company policy
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
  • Assist company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives
  • Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap
  • Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards
  • Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures
  • Initiate and coordinate major projects
