As the Director of Operations (Executive Director), you are responsible for Development and oversight of the strategic business plans, to meet and exceed community operating expectations. You will act as an effective connection between the Touchmark Central Office (TCO) and the local community teams. You will exemplify the Touchmark model of positive leadership and coaching; identify managerial talent in the communities and develops those individuals for future roles of greater responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or equivalent business experience and 8+ years of progressively responsible experience for an established company; Master's degree business administration, or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as an Executive Director in a retirement community that includes multiple levels of care.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker and results oriented.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to communities in various states.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively lead and support communities to ensure that each community meets company standards for profitability, resident satisfaction and employee satisfaction; take corrective action as needed when standards are not being met.
  • Model, promote and reinforce the Touchmark mission and values.
  • Promote operational excellence and a culture of hospitality in all areas of the community.
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving goals in the areas of profitability, resident and employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain an ongoing business plan containing appropriate strategies and tactics necessary to achieve 100% occupancy with a wait list.
  • Provide input to the Board of Directors about all aspects of operation.
  • Influences positive and supportive change, beneficial to Touchmark, at the city, county, state and regional level.
