About The Position

The Director of Operations at EOAC is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence and programmatic success. This position oversees facilities, maintenance, IT, and safety and security, ensuring efficient functionality across these critical areas. The Director collaborates with various departments to align operational strategies with organizational goals, implements innovative solutions, and enhances overall performance to meet the needs of the Waco community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Facilities Management, Safety Management, IT Management, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role within facilities management, maintenance, IT management, or related field.
  • Experience in managing a team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of all EOAC facilities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement facilities management policies and protocols.
  • Provide leadership to maintenance and facilities staff, coordinating efforts across programs.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for maintenance services.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to align operational strategies with programmatic goals.
  • Facilitate positive communication with stakeholders to support organizational success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in Board of Directors meetings and committees as needed.
  • Conduct research and analyze financial data to improve operational performance.
  • Oversee safety and security measures across all EOAC facilities and programs.
  • Manage IT infrastructure and ensure data security compliance.
  • Recruit, hire, and train facilities and maintenance personnel.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and across the leadership team.
  • Lead or assist in community events, ensuring operational logistics support successful execution.
