The Director of Operations II at Cencora is responsible for overseeing Distribution Center leadership teams and providing guidance to compliance and inventory management teams. The Director is accountable for day-to-day expense and service performance, ensuring high-quality service to customers.   • Develop financial and operational plans for Distribution Center teams, including expense plans and performance improvement plans.
  • Drive daily performance accountability across all areas with a customer-focused approach.
  • Own standardization and lead processes for identifying and verifying improvement opportunities.
  • Review and approve department staffing plans.
  • Lead talent development and performance management among management teams.
  • Supervise associate relations functions including hiring, performance management, and training.
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment to engage Distribution Center associates.
  • Coach and mentor Lead Team members and other associates.
  • Monitor performance and productivity measures to maximize earnings and minimize expenses.
  • Review and recommend improvements to standard operating procedures for efficiency.
  • Support compliance with policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience, including at least two years in a managerial role.
  • Strong operational knowledge and business acumen.
  • Working knowledge of automated warehouse operating systems and ABC warehouse operations preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in coaching and teaching operational practices.
  • Good presentation and problem-solving skills.
