The Director of Operations/Customer Service at Tri-National Logistics Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and customer service functions within the company. This role involves direct communication with drivers and collaboration with Fleet and Area Managers to ensure efficient operations while maintaining a positive work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to handle high-level complaints effectively.

  • Maintain the day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee and handle operational and customer service department issues.
  • Track daily mileage of the drivers.
  • Conduct new business start-up calls with customers.
  • Assist in recruiting for new operation positions.
  • Terminate employees when needed.
  • Handle high-level complaints from drivers and customers.
  • Audit drivers' boards of the Fleet Managers.
  • Direct the operations and customer service personnel.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Experience in the Transportation/Trucking Industry.
  • Experience in OTR transportation, preferred.
  • Experience with cross-border freight, a plus.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Good management, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient computer and phone skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook and innovative AS400.
