About The Position

The Director of Nursing (DON) at Principle LTC is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the Macon Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality nursing care, advocating for residents, and fostering a compassionate and effective healthcare environment. The DON will lead the nursing staff, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and maintain excellent communication with residents and their families.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license active in North Carolina
• 1 year of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON)
• Long-term care facility experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Successful criminal background check
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations of the facility
• Collaborate with other health care professionals in the assessment, planning, and safe implementation of all nursing care
• Supervise facility nursing staff
• Advocate for residents, ensuring they are at the center of care
• Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff
• Create positive resident outcomes
