About The Position

We are looking for a strong and experienced Contract Director of Nursing to serve as a key clinical leader across our eight sites. The ideal candidate brings strong nursing leadership experience, sound clinical judgment, and the flexibility to travel to any of our eight sites as needed to provide onsite support, oversight, and direction. The Contract DON will lead nursing operations, mentor staff, strengthen clinical processes, support admissions and intake functions, and ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • BSN required; MSN or higher preferred
  • 3+ years of nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or related healthcare setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge with proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission, infection control, and risk management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the nursing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Oversee all aspects of patient care, including medication management, assessments, documentation, and quality standards
  • Manage and maintain nursing schedules, ensuring effective coverage and strong PRN depth
  • Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
  • Oversee the Intake Team to ensure patients have a smooth and supportive admission process
  • Implement and manage infection control systems, risk management protocols, and incident reporting procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating strong nursing skills and stepping in to provide direct care when needed
  • Take on leadership responsibilities as “Manager on Call” and support seamless facility operations
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency
