About The Position

Griffin Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing program and help advance our mission of recovery. At Griffin, we believe in supporting individuals living with mental illness and addiction, reuniting families, and strengthening communities. The DON is responsible for the overall administration of nursing services at Griffin Memorial Hospital, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and the highest quality of patient care. This role oversees nursing operations across all areas of the hospital, including determining appropriate staffing levels and clinical needs. As a senior leader, the DON plays an active role in hospital decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license (as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing) or a multistate RN license recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • RN license plus seven years of professional nursing experience, including: Two years in a supervisory role One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program Two years in an administrative capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing plus six years of professional nursing experience, including: Two years in a supervisory role One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program Two years in an administrative capacity
  • Master’s degree in nursing (or related field) plus five years of professional nursing experience, including: Two years in a supervisory role One year in a managerial, consultative, or educational role in a specialized program Two years in an administrative capacity

Nice To Haves
