About The Position

The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the nursing department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successful management in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, patients, and families.
  • Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on the latest nursing practices and healthcare trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.

  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
