Compensation based on experience Job Duties will include: Collaboration with leadership and other departments for the delivery of evidence-based care to guests. The DON is responsible for managerial level duties, including staffing, hiring, budgeting, ordering, and supervision. The DON should be instrumental in creating an empowering and professional environment. The DON must be able motivate, lead, and direct how the department integrates into the entire organization. The DON must lead and engage employees to provide optimal patient care and achieve the goals of the organization. Performing supervisory and managerial tasks appropriate to licensure; and perform related duties as required, including but not limited to performing the following services; Responsible for designing systems and process that achieve optimal organizational outcomes. Responsible for planning, directing, implementing and continuous improvement of nursing services within the organization and providing leadership and vision for all nursing staff. Maintain standards of patient care in compliance with organization policies and procedures as well as state licensing regulations and Joint Commission, and CARF standards. Direct supervisor to nurse managers, registered nurses, and licensed professional nurses. Monitors nursing staff performance and participates in performance improvement activities as directed by PI Committee. Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff. Ensures adequate staffing patterns in order to ensure continuous and timely availability of nursing services while managing department budget. Responsible for fiscal management of the nursing department including budget, supplies, and nursing time clock. Participates as member of various committees. Functions as active member of the performance improvement team. Reviewing lab results and documenting the results in the EMR Ensures that Royal Life Centers related policy and procedures are followed.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) shall be certified and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona.
  • BSN required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar position in hospital, inpatient behavioral health, psychiatric facility, substance abuse treatment preferred and at least 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • Must demonstrate previous experience related to Joint Commission & CARF behavioral health standards and processes for ongoing compliance and survey readiness.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated budget and management skills.
  • Ability to Commute: Prescott, AZ 86305 (Required)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
