Director of Nursing
About The Position
Arlington County Government is seeking an energetic and experienced Director of Nursing to provide quality assurance leadership to clinical public health staff at the Arlington County Detention Facility [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/Sheriffs-Office/Correctional-Division] (ACDF). The Correctional Health Services Nurse Manager will oversee all aspects of nursing care within the facility, including staff supervision, patient assessments, treatment planning, and medication administration while managing RN and LPN personnel and contributing to institutional standards that meet agency, state, and national healthcare requirements. This role works closely with the Chief Medical Director and Correctional Health Services Administrator to coordinate nursing services and collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders, including ACSO command staff, community partners, Virginia Hospital Center, and external medical organizations at the federal, state, and local levels.
