About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to join our team at Liberty Correctional Institution located in Bristol, Florida. The Director of Nursing (DON) (Medical) is responsible for managing and overseeing the nursing services provided to patients within the correctional facility hospital as well as providing clinical direction and supervision to the Directors of Nursing.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required
• Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one required
• Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred
• Corrections, forensic, or criminal justice experience preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
• Available Shift: Monday-Friday; extra shifts as needed

Nice To Haves

• Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred
• Corrections, forensic, or criminal justice experience preferred
