About The Position

At Qualicare, we are dedicated to providing exceptional home care services, ensuring the highest standards of client care and staff excellence. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and uphold our commitment to quality care. The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating client care and staff performance while implementing and maintaining Qualicare’s standards of care. This leadership role oversees all aspects of client care, staff development, and compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. This role is a hybrid role of working at home and also requiring some days to be in the office.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered licensure in [Insert State/Province].
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in home health or related settings.
  • 3-5 years of direct employee supervision experience.
  • Exceptional nursing assessment, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to drive quality improvements and policy development.
  • Strong understanding of Texas and federal licensing/regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client inquiries, assessments, and care plans.
  • Oversee scheduling, charting, and delivery of skilled nursing and therapeutic services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory licensure, certification, and accreditation standards.
  • Achieve and exceed client satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Consult with physicians and staff to optimize client care services.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, and motivate administrative and medical staff.
  • Ensure proper scheduling and charting in EHR (Wellsky) for documentation, including OASIS and billing.
  • Develop and implement staff training, orientation, and performance evaluations.
  • Verify credentials and qualifications for patient care personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment, achieving high employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain zero deficiencies in state/federal surveys and inspections.
  • Oversee QAPI program and ensure compliance with health, employment, and safety regulations.
  • Evaluate and improve service policies and program effectiveness.
  • Implement utilization review activities.
  • Participate in corporate training, occasional out-of-state travel, and professional conferences.
  • Set and evaluate personal performance goals for ongoing growth.
