About The Position

The Director of Nursing will also serve as the Nursing Home Administrator's backup as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) or above.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (job code 7069).
  • One (1+) years nursing leadership experience.
  • Proficient in the use of a Personal Computer and ability to navigate Windows and Microsoft Office programs, Internet-based Applications, and EMR Software.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing / sub-acute care setting.
  • One to three (1-3) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to patients and residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing / sub-acute care nursing center (all units).
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the clinical department, ensuring quality care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing and controlling budget, and will provide leadership and oversight of the center's clinical staff and will serve as the Nursing Home Administrator's backup as needed.
  • Supervises nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
  • Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident’s protected health information.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.
