About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Nursing Operations for our team to be an innovator. This position oversees the operations of the Nursing Administrative Services (House Supervisors, Staffing, Bed Management, Throughput, and Sitters). Plans, direct, and coordinate all operational activities for areas of responsibility. Develops policies and procedures as well as quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed by hiring and retaining competent staff. As a member of Rapides Regional Medical Center's leadership team, makes a significant contribution to the publics perception of the hospital. Performs additional duties as assigned. The Department Director is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals. The Director identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Director identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Department Director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Graduate of a Nursing Program from an accredited school.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Louisiana.
  • BSN required; Master's Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related clinical management experience including management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, supervisory positions, and physician relations preferred.

  • Work with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.
