How you’ll make an impact in this role Empower nursing teams by directing daily workflows and resource allocation to ensure every clinician is positioned to provide exceptional, uninterrupted patient care. Architect departmental goals that align clinical excellence with ethical standards, creating a roadmap for a high-performing unit that exceeds healthcare delivery benchmarks. Cultivate a culture of clinical mastery by leading all staffing initiatives—from strategic hiring to continuing education—ensuring your team remains at the forefront of medical innovation. Champion patient advocacy by overseeing complex care assessments and resolving concerns with a focus on empathy and high-quality clinical outcomes. Optimize departmental health through proactive budget stewardship and audit readiness, ensuring the unit has the financial and operational stability to support its life-saving mission.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Current home state license, if considered multi-state/Compact State, also accepted.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing, required.
  • Master's degree, or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience, preferred.
  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
  • Master's degree, or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience, preferred.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
