About The Position

The Director of Nursing is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within a long-term care facility. This position involves managing nursing staff, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring the highest quality of care for patients. The Director will collaborate with healthcare professionals and participate in strategic planning to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Must possess a Registered Nurse Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Minnesota.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
• Experience in hospice care, nursing administration systems, shift management, supervising in a nursing home, home health, assisted living, or home care setting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nursing care plans and protocols.
• Supervise and manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
• Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities.
