About The Position

Director of Nursing Solero Behavioral Transitions We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals struggling with severe mental illness. Our program offers comprehensive care, including individual and group therapy sessions, case management services and life skills training. A mental health residential facility is a place where people receive intensive, specialized care for mental health or substance abuse issues in a non-hospital setting. Residents receive 24-hour supervision, treatment, and support from mental health experts. The environment is homelike and supportive, and residents participate in therapeutic activities. The Role Itself Provide leadership and strategic direction for the nursing department. Ensure clinical excellence in patient care through evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices. Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and performance management of nursing staff. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation guidelines (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS). Collaborate with medical staff, department heads, and executive leadership to support organizational goals. Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with best practices in psychiatric nursing. Ensure appropriate documentation and quality assurance programs are in place. Lead initiatives for staff education, training, and professional development. Serve as a key member of the hospital’s leadership team and participate in strategic planning. Levels of Care Residential Mental Health Services A service activity which uses clinical and medical interventions, including the administration of physician prescribed medications and clinical monitoring, to help stabilize mental health symptoms to for individuals requiring a more structured and supervised environment. Partial Hospitalization Program Comprehensive Mental Health program with intensive treatment services to help individuals prepare for re-entry into all aspects of their lives including home, work, school and relationships. Requirements

  • Current RN license in [State] (unencumbered) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience in a short term acute psych facility or Substance Abuse Facility.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices, acute care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead through change and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, or similar) preferred.
